| When singer Daničle Pascal
and friend, Leonie Verster, bought a property
in Napier, at the beginning of 2002 they opened a restaurant,
Pascal's, where Daničle would sing once in a while and where Leonie
could express her passion for cooking. Initially it was only intended
as a weekend restaurant, but as the demand increased it became
Napier's first full-time restaurant.
In March 2010, Mark Kerr and Stephen
Nicholenas also swopped the hustle and bustle of city
life for the calmness of the countryside in the Overberg. The
torch that is Pascals has now passed on to them. The menu they
have introduced includes dishes that have their origins in the
French, Italian and South African countrysides. They also intend
carrying on the tradition of cabaret evenings at Pascal's of Napier.
